SPORTING GOODS STORE TRADER BILL’S COMING TO LITTLE ROCK

Sporting goods store Trader Bill’s will soon have a home in Little Rock, according to a Facebook post by architecture designer company Black Corley Owens & Hughes on Tuesday afternoon.

Construction will begin in the next few weeks on a 244-unit, upscale apartment complex to be known as THE VUE. The $35.6 million development is a joint venture between local developers TERRAFORMA and NEWMARK MOSES TUCKER PARTNERS (NMTP). The project will be located on a 6-acre site, situated on the north bank of the Arkansas River just west of the Broadway Bridge.

Lasiter Group Announces New SoMa Development

The Lasiter Group of Little Rock announced Friday plans for a new multifamily development, the Villa View at SoMa, in the 1300 block of Scott Street in Little Rock.

The multimillion-dollar development will be in the South Main area of Little Rock. It's expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.

A construction crew was busy last week bringing life to the Fassler Hall-Dust Bowl Lanes project on East Capitol Avenue in downtown Little Rock.

Remodeling is underway on both buildings — Fassler Hall at 307 E. Capitol, the old Paragon Printing building, owned by Central Arkansas Water, and the Dust Bowl Lanes & Lounge at 315 E. Capitol next door, in the former M.M. Eberts American Legion Post.

Little Rock building to get $10M makeover; office, residential, retail spaces planned east of I-30

Cromwell Architects Engineers and Moses Tucker Real Estate plan a $10 million mixed-use redevelopment of the two-story Sterling Paint building at Sixth and Shall streets in Little Rock…

 

CCG President Jonathan Shively said his company has worked on historic rehabilitation projects like the restaurant ad residential space now available at 615 Main St. and the Mann on Main at Fourth and Main streets.

 

“I like all our projects, I love building any project, but the one you have the most pride in are the ones like this where you embrace the old architecture,” Shively said. “Look at the way this is built, it’s a lot of fun to save the building.”

 

Element hotel opening in Bentonville in August 2017, will add 107 rooms to the region

Earlier this month hotel developer Bentonville Hospitality Group broke ground on a new 107-room boutique hotel in Bentonville that will be branded as the Element by Westin. It is the first new hotel construction in that city since the 21C opened in 2013.

The project is expected to cost about $10 million with $850,000 of that in land costs. The controlling owner of the project is Shash Goyal the CEO of I Square Management in Little Rock. Goyal purchased the 3.38-acre lot behind the Cracker Barrel, off Interstate 49 in Bentonville in December for $850,000, according to county real estate records. The official address of the project is 3401 Medlin Lane, Bentonville. The construction permit has been approved by the city with work valued at $9.166 million. Goyal confirmed for Talk Business & Politics that the project is costing upwards of $10 million.

Moses Tucker Breaks Ground on $5M Apartment Project

Moses Tucker Real Estate of Little Rock broke ground on Monday on a 36-unit apartment project in the city's historic MacArthur Park District.

The project, Legion Village, sits along Rock Street between Capitol and Sixth. It will include 36 rental units and the renovation of the MM Ebert’s Legion Post No. 1 into 7,500 SF of commercial/restaurant space. Total development cost will be more than $5 million, the firm said.

Cromwell Adds $472K 'East Village' Property to Portfolio

Cromwell Architects Engineers of Little Rock has added to its holdings along East Sixth Street, an area targeted for revitalization that its backers are calling "East Village."

The architecture firm, through its limited liability corporation called 1212 East Sixth and led by Dan Fowler, has purchased a nearly 22,000-SF warehouse at 1212 E. 6th St. for $472,500.

 

Fulk-Democrat Building to Be Redone as Apartments

Moses Tucker Real Estate has broken ground on a 14,000-SF apartment and retail project in the Fulk-Democrat Building in downtown Little Rock’s Main Street Creative Corridor. The $2 million project, anticipated to be completed in spring 2016, consists of eight loft-style apartments with retail on the ground floor, anchored by Raimondo Winery.
